The Scotsman XR-30 XSafe® Sanitation System is a chemical-free, automated sanitation accessory designed to protect commercial ice machines from viruses, bacteria, fungi, slime, mold, and yeast — continuously and without manual intervention. Using proven UVGI (ultraviolet germicidal irradiation) light technology, the XSafe® generates a highly reactive mixture of oxygen that circulates throughout the ice machine’s interior, passing over exposed components to inhibit microbial growth. This sanitizing mixture travels through the active ice-making food zone and into the storage bin, helping protect both the machine’s internal surfaces and the ice already produced.
