This Dean 1PRG50T-SPV floor-model gas fryer’s 15 1/2-inch-wide by 30 3/4-inch-deep by 44 1/2-inch-high structure replaces the Pitco SG14 single gas fryer; this unit comes with a top connecting strip that can be connected to the SG14 fryer. Its frypot, front, door, backsplash, and flue cover are made of corrosion- and rust-resistant stainless steel to withstand heavy-duty, long-term use, while its sides are aluminized steel. Its frypot holds 50 pounds of oil and has a 14-inch-wide by 14-inch-deep by 3 1/2-inch-deep frying area to accommodate general frying, from french fries to breaded delicacies.

A thermo-tube heat transfer system warms a large surface area of the Dean 1PRG50T-SPV gas fryer’s frypot to reduce heat load and prevent oil degradation. To ensure oil temperatures don’t spike or drop, operators can monitor them with the 1-degree-Fahrenheit compensating temperature probe; millivolt controllers enable operators to adjust temperatures, accommodating various frying requirements. A wide cold zone built into the frypot’s bottom collects sediment that could impact oil taste and food quality. Because it slopes forward, buildup can be expelled quickly through the 1 1/4-inch front drain valve.
